Itinerary

1. 1

   Day {{n}}

   Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley

   Depart Marrakech early and begin your private journey through the spectacular High Atlas Mountains. Cross the Tizi N’Tichka Pass at 2,260 meters, enjoying panoramic views of mountain peaks, valleys, and traditional Berber villages. Continue to Ait Ben Haddou, the famous UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore the ancient ksar, its earthen buildings, and narrow alleyways before enjoying lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, continue toward Ouarzazate, known as the Gateway to the Sahara. Depending on your interests and timing, visit Taourirt Kasbah or one of the famous film studios. Continue through the Valley of Roses toward the Dades Valley, passing palm oases, traditional villages, and dramatic mountain landscapes. Dinner and overnight in a local hotel or kasbah in Dades Valley.

   Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Merzouga – Erg Chebbi

   After breakfast, explore the spectacular Dades Valley before continuing toward the Sahara. Drive through the Road of 1001 Kasbahs and continue to the impressive Todra Gorges, where towering limestone cliffs rise dramatically above the river. Enjoy a walk through the gorge before continuing toward Tinjdad, Jorf, and Erfoud, passing desert oases and palm groves along the way. Arrive in Merzouga in the afternoon and meet your camel caravan. Ride across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi as the sun begins to set. Arrive at your private desert camp and settle into your tent. Enjoy traditional Moroccan dinner, mint tea, and Berber music around the campfire. After dinner, take time to experience the peaceful Sahara night and enjoy stargazing far from city lights. Dinner and overnight in a private desert camp.

   Day 3: Erg Chebbi – Sahara Sunrise – Rissani – Drâa Valley – Marrakech

   Wake early to experience a spectacular sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunes. After breakfast at the camp, leave the desert by camel or 4x4 and return to Merzouga. Continue toward Rissani, the historic gateway to the Sahara. If the market is open, explore the traditional souk and discover local products and desert culture. Begin the return journey through the dramatic landscapes of southeastern Morocco, passing through the Drâa Valley and its palm-filled oases. Enjoy lunch along the way before continuing toward the High Atlas Mountains. Cross the Tizi N’Tichka Pass once again and descend toward Marrakech. Arrive in Marrakech in the evening, where your 3-day private bespoke desert adventure comes to an end.
