Itinerary

   Ouarzazate – Taznakht – Foum Zguid – Iriqui Lake – Erg Chigaga

   Start your desert adventure in the morning from Ouarzazate and travel towards Taznakht, passing through beautiful landscapes and traditional villages. Continue towards Foum Zguid, following the road through a valley surrounded by palm trees. Stop in Foum Zguid for lunch before leaving the paved road and starting your 4x4 journey through the desert. Cross the wide desert landscapes towards Iriqui Lake, a peaceful dry lake surrounded by open wilderness. Continue along the desert tracks until the first golden dunes of Erg Chigaga appear. Arrive at your desert camp before sunset. Climb the dunes and enjoy a spectacular Sahara sunset over the endless sands.    Erg Chigaga – M’Hamid – Tamegroute – Zagora – Ouarzazate

   Wake up early and enjoy the peaceful Sahara sunrise before breakfast at the camp. After breakfast, take a short camel trek around the desert camp, then begin your journey back to M’Hamid El Ghizlane by 4x4. Cross the beautiful Hamada desert, passing sandy landscapes, small dunes, and desert oases along the way. From M’Hamid, continue to Tamegroute, where you can visit its historic Quranic library and discover part of the cultural heritage of the Drâa Valley. Continue to Zagora for lunch, then follow the palm-lined Drâa Valley towards Ouarzazate. Enjoy the changing landscapes, traditional villages, palm groves, and ancient kasbahs along the route. Arrive in Ouarzazate in the afternoon, bringing your short but unforgettable Sahara adventure to an end.
