Itinerary

   Ouarzazate – Agdz – Zagora – Drâa Valley – M’Hamid

   Start your adventure in the morning from Ouarzazate and travel south by 4x4 through the beautiful Anti-Atlas Mountains. Continue to Agdz, then follow the Drâa Valley, famous for its green palm groves, traditional villages, and ancient kasbahs. Enjoy the changing landscapes as you travel deeper into southern Morocco. Stop for lunch in Zagora before continuing towards M’Hamid El Ghizlane, the last village before the open Sahara. From here, the paved road ends and the desert begins.    M’Hamid – Sacred Oasis – Erg Chigaga

   After breakfast, leave M’Hamid and begin your 4x4 desert adventure across the open Sahara. Travel off-road through rocky plains and sandy landscapes before stopping at the peaceful Sacred Oasis, a beautiful place surrounded by tamarisk trees in the middle of the desert. Continue towards the impressive Erg Chigaga dunes, one of the most remote and spectacular dune areas in Morocco. Arrive at the camp in the afternoon and take some time to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. As the sun begins to set, enjoy a camel ride through the golden dunes and watch the desert change color. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner around the campfire, listen to Saharan music, and admire the stars far from city lights.    Erg Chigaga – Lake Iriqui – Foum Zguid – Taznakht – Ouarzazate

   Wake up early and enjoy a beautiful sunrise over the Erg Chigaga dunes before having breakfast at the camp. After breakfast, leave the desert by 4x4 and cross the wide, dry landscapes of Iriqui Lake, enjoying the peaceful scenery of the Sahara. Continue to Foum Zguid, a small desert town, before heading towards Taznakht, famous for its traditional handmade Berber carpets. Stop here for lunch and take some time to discover the local area. In the afternoon, continue your journey through the changing landscapes of southern Morocco and arrive back in Ouarzazate in the late afternoon.
