MARRAKECH – DJINEYA (ZAGORA)
In the morning, depart from Marrakech and travel towards M’Hamid. The journey takes you across the Atlas Mountains via the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass, then through the Tiffernine Mountains and across the Saghro Massif via the Tizi n’Tinififft Pass. Continue through the beautiful Drâa Valley, famous for its palm groves, ksours (fortified villages), and traditional kasbahs, before reaching the Zagora region. In Djineya, you will meet your local camel handlers and begin your Sahara desert adventure. Enjoy dinner and spend your first night in a traditional desert bivouac

DJINEYA – OASIS OUM LILI – LBOUDIAT
Start the day in the cool morning air by crossing the Djebel Bani through the Djineya Pass. Enjoy panoramic views over the beautiful Drâa Valley, with its lush green palm groves stretching through the desert landscape. After a midday break to rest and enjoy lunch, continue the trek towards the Oasis of Oum Lili, where you can discover the contrast between the green oasis and the surrounding arid desert. Continue walking to Lboudiat, where the traditional desert bivouac will be set up for the night. Enjoy a peaceful evening in the Sahara, surrounded by the silence and beauty of the desert.

LBOUDIAT – HASSI NAANAA – STILLA
In the morning, leave Lboudiat and continue your trek across a vast hamada, a rocky desert plateau dotted with acacia trees. Enjoy the peaceful scenery and the rugged beauty of the Sahara as you make your way towards Hassi Naanaa. After a midday break to rest and enjoy lunch, continue walking through the impressive Bani Mountains. By the end of the day, arrive at Stilla, where you will set up the desert bivouac and spend the night under the peaceful Sahara sky.

STILLA – OUED LGHAREG
Head south from Stilla into the vast desert plateaus surrounding the Bani Mountains. Continue your trek through the striking black stone desert, where the rugged landscape offers a unique contrast to the golden dunes of the Sahara. Take your time to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and spectacular desert scenery before continuing towards Oued Lghareg. At the end of the day, set up the desert bivouac at Oued Lghareg, where you will enjoy dinner and spend a peaceful night under the stars.

Camp life
Over these two days, continue your Sahara trekking journey with the camel caravan through a changing desert landscape of sand dunes, rocky plains, and tamarisk trees. From Oued Lghareg, the caravan makes its way towards Oued Laatach, then continues through Bougerne before reaching Oued Naam. The route offers a peaceful and remote desert experience, with wide-open landscapes and little sign of modern civilization. Oued Naam was once known for its population of ostriches, which is reflected in its name. Enjoy the tranquility of this untouched part of the Sahara, with time to rest, observe the landscape, and experience traditional desert life. At the end of each day, the camel handlers prepare the bivouac, dinner, and a comfortable night in the heart of the Sahara.

OUED NAAM – M’HAMID
Depart from Oued Naam and continue your trek across the Hamada du Drâa, a vast and remote stony desert known as a reg, scattered with dark volcanic stones and surrounded by impressive desert landscapes. Continue walking through this peaceful and untouched environment as the caravan gradually makes its way towards M’Hamid. Arrive in M’Hamid in the late afternoon, where you can relax, enjoy a well-earned shower, and take some time to rest after the day's trek. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner and spend the night in the desert bivouac, surrounded by the peaceful atmosphere of the Sahara.

M’HAMID – MARRAKECH
After breakfast, say goodbye to the Sahara and begin your return journey from M’Hamid to Marrakech. Travel through the landscapes of southern Morocco with a lunch stop along the way. Continue the journey towards Marrakech and arrive in the afternoon, marking the end of your 8-day Sahara Desert trekking adventure.
